Added a few photos to the 'portrait' section. I've been shooting a lot of film since I started teaching again, mostly medium format black and white. After doing a shoot with my good friend Pete Nettleton of www.pjnphotography.com, I've decided that I need to spend the next couple weeks before the next semester beefing up my own photographic skills.

I've definitely developed a style and a method of working over the last year or so, but now I need to learn to work outside that box. While I like my style, I need to learn to be more flexible. Shooting Roller Derby was an excellent start, as it forced me to learn how to photograph sports - something with which I had very little experience.

So to that end, I'm going to try to give myself an assignment every week. Or every day off, provided I can find the free time.

Other than that, the holidays have been great. Christmas was good, and I suspect New Year's will be the same.

Here's hoping 2010 will find you all well.
